For the first time in my life, I finally believe I have chosen the wrong career. I just don’t know how much longer I can do this. It’s not my actual job…I could teach literature all day long, it’s the “extras.” It’s the mom who gave her child 3 laxatives before school (doctor’s orders, but still…KEEP HIM AT HOME!) and we all know what the consequence was. It’s the child who smells so bad that the stench fills the room to where the other kids get sick. It’s the 7th grade lesbians who openly share their “love” with each other IN CLASS. It’s the open defiance – looking me straight in the eye and doing exactly what I just said NOT to do. It’s the threats of bringing a gun to school to settle a fight OVER A GIRL.

I am just so burnt out.

I have 15 more days until the students get out for summer.

15 days until I can have a 2 month rejuvenation.

15 days.

I just hope I make it.

I have this rant in my head that I thought about posting, but after a good halfway decent little bit of sleep, I’ve decided it’s just not worth my energy to type it all out.  (It’s work related anyway, and I shy away from that shiznit like the plague!)

Anyway…moving right along.

I’ve lost my motivation these days.  Before I got pregnant with Southern Girl (now 26 months) I did the weight watchers thing and lost like 35 pounds.  I got pregnant, had her, then got right back on WW a couple of months later.  That time I lost just a hair shy of 40 lbs (39 to be exact, but doesn’t 40 sound much cooler?).  However, SURPRISE!  I up and get pregnant with Southern Baby (now 10 months).  Y’all I can’t seem to make myself stay on WW to save my life this time around.  I’ll last a few days, then the dark side tempts me so…am I alone here?  I know pool season is upon us, and I dread it so bad.  Here I have goofed off January, Feburary, March, and now April and haven’t lost any weight for summer.  To make matters worse, Southern Dad started WW for men last October and has lost 50+ pounds.  He looks fantastic and I’m all squishy.  My question is, where the hell did my motivation go, and WHY WON’T IT COME BACK?

Ok…I just don’t know how much I’m going to be able to stand the limitedness of WP.com.

There isn’t much in the way of sidebar customization…I mean I don’t think I can even run Twitter on here. I haven’t had much time to investigate, but did get some encouragement on the real WP from Debunot.

I just hate to invest time and energy into this blog if I’m going to move in a few weeks, so the sidebar may be shoddy for a while. I mean, there are much bigger things to do this week, like go hunt down my prom photos!

Yes, I’ve been gone since November, and yes, everything has changed. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have had to move my blog, and I am very sad to say I THINK I have also lost my archives (dating back to 2004! SIGH!!!!!) as well. I have been emailing my former host (she used to blog at www.daisyhead.org – if you know any info on where she has gone, PLEASE PLEASE let me know), but sadly haven’t heard back from her.

Anyway – This is my home, maybe for just now, maybe for a while. Who knows. I’ve never used wordpress, so I’m kinda using this WP.com one as a testing ground. Any input to give? I am rather sad to have to start from scratch, but I might as well suck it up and jump back in.

p.s. excuse the mess, I’ll update the sidebar and make a new header as soon as I can.

I’m not very tolerant of pain either. Maybe I can go home tomorrow, though. Why didn’t I know that your shoulder would KILL you after an appendectomy? Who knew!
